Vehicle fire

Fire control received a couple of calls to a pick up vehicle on fire off of East Wonford Hill in Exeter.

Control mobilised 1 fire appliance from Middlemoor to attend.

Once on scene crews confirmed a mattress had been involved in fire which was situated in the rear of a pick up truck which had spread to the interior of the truck.

Crews confirmed they extinguished the fire using 1 Breathing Apparatus and 1 Hose Reel Jet. The vehicle was 75% damaged by fire.

This was believed to be deliberate and police also attended the scene.
