Community events
We are sometimes able to attend events in Devon and Somerset, to give safety advice. This will depend on the availability of our staff, and any emergencies at the time.
- We need a minimum of six weeks’ notice to attend a community event. If your event is less than six weeks away, we will not be able to attend.
- We’re not able to attend every community event across Devon and Somerset, but we will let you know either way.
- Due to the volume of requests that we receive, there may be a delay in confirming if we can attend and what we can bring.
Event request forms
To ask us about the possibility of attending an event or delivering a talk, please use the relevant form.
School education visits
Our education team will contact schools directly to make a visit booking; please do not try to contact us. For information about what to expect when we visit, please see our education pages.
Road safety education
To book our road safety team to attend your event or to arrange one of our young driver and powered two-wheeler interventions, please go to our road safety events page or email annabellepriest@dsfire.gov.uk.
Work experience
Unfortunately, we can’t offer work experience placements. If you’re interested in working for the Service in the future, you can find out more about the different roles we have in our careers section.
Community Conversations
Take part in our Community Conversations online events where our experts will share topical fire safety information to make you safer, and you can ask questions.
