Vehicle fire

One appliance from Crownhill was mobilised following a report of a van on fire in the car park of a takeaway restaurant. On arrival at the incident crew confirmed a privately owned van was well alight and got to work to extinguish using a hose reel and breathing apparatus.

Crew have requested an additional appliance to attend for additional water, an appliance from Camels Head was mobilised.

One van involved in fire, thirty percent of the engine compartment of the van was damaged by fire. Crew used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one thermal image camera and an environmental pack to extinguish the fire.
