Vehicle fire

Fire control received a call to a car on fire in Dawlish business park. Control mobilised 2 fire appliance from Dawlish and Teignmouth due to information passed during the call. 

On arrival crews confirmed well alight and they got to work extinguishing the fire using Breathing Apparatus and a CAFS jet.

Crews confirmed the fire had been extinguished which started in the boot compartment of a private vehicle. The car was 60% damaged by fire. Crews used 1 Hose reel jet, 1 CAFS jet, Breathing apparatus and a Thermal Imaging Camera.

This fire was deemed as accidental and the incident has been handed over to police.
