Vehicle fire

Following calls to Control reporting a Combine Harvester on fire in a field, Fire Engines were immediately mobilised.

Upon arrival crews confirmed that there was a small fire in the drive belt of the Combine Harvester, informing oncoming appliances that they were no longer required.

Throughout the incident crews used:

• One hose reel jet
• One thermal image camera
• One fog spike to access and cool hotspots within the engine compartment

Following the incident crews confirmed that there was 1% of damage to the Combine Harvester. The cause is believed to be accidental.
