Vehicle fire

A fire appliance from Castle Cary was mobilised following a call from members of the public reporting a fire in All Saints Church Yard, Church Street, Castle Cary. At first it was reported to be a mobility scooter but once we arrived on scene and were able to get closer to the vehicle it was confirmed as a petrol powered scooter. They set to work extinguishing the fire, which was started deliberately, using one hose reel jet. Once the vehicle and scene was made safe duty of care was left in the hands of the Police.
