Vehicle fire

2 fire engines from Taunton and Ilminster were mobilised after receiving a call from a farmer whose baler had caught fire in the middle of a field at Curland nr Taunton. Once on scene crews confirmed the baler and a large area of dry grass was well alight. Crews worked well to bring the fire under control, using 2 hose reel jets and breathing apparatus. The fire was prevented from spreading any further and once extinguished, and the vehicle made safe, duty of care was left with the farmer.
