Three fire engines were sent to a report of a car on fire in a lay-by on the A303 Westbound carriageway between Wincanton and Sparkford.
On arrival crews confirmed the car was well alight and extinguished the fire using:
- 2 hose reel jets
- 2 breathing apparatus
The cause of the fire was accidental and the car was 80 per cent destroyed by fire.
