Road traffic collision

Fire control received a call from the ambulance service regarding a 2 vehicle road traffic collision on a cross roads on Neroche Road.

2 fire engines and a heavy rescue unit from Taunton attended the incident alongside an officer.

On arrival crews confirmed 2 casualties, 1 of which was medically and physically trapped.

Crews isolated the batteries of both vehicles and got to work with hydraulic cutting equipment, 1 hose, small tools, 1 trauma pack and stabilising blocks to release the casualty.

The casualty has now been released by fire service personnel and is now in the care of the ambulance service.
