Road traffic collision

Two fire engines and a heavy rescue unit were sent to a report of a single vehicle road traffic collision. On arrival crews confirmed this was one vehicle that had left the roadway and gone down an embankment, with the driver still within the vehicle.

Crews released the driver using:

• Hydraulic cutting equipment
• Vehicle stabilisation equipment
• Stretcher

The casualty was then handed over to paramedics on scene.
