Fire control received a call from Police requesting our attendance at a Road Traffic Collision on the A358 near Ilminster roundabout.
Control mobilised 1 fire appliance from Ilminster and 1 Fire appliance from Chard along with an Operational Officer.
Once on scene crews confirmed 1 RTC involving 1 van and 1 lorry and requested the Heavy Rescue Vehicle from Taunton to attend.
Crews successfully extricated driver of van using hydraulic rescue gear and handed casualty over the paramedics.
