Road traffic collision

Fire control received a call from Ambulance to make us aware of an RTC at the above location that involved a lorry and at least 3 other vehicles 

Control immediately mobilised 3 fire engines coming from Newton Abbot, Torquay and Teignmouth as well as the Heavy Rescue Unit form Middlemoor.

Once in attendance crews confirmed an RTC involving 1 lorry and 3 cars with the driver still within the lorry, crews got to work making the vehicles safe and formulating a plan to extricate the lorry driver. 

Crews successfully extricated the driver using Hydraulic Rescue Equipment, Small Tools and Stabilisation equipment. 

The driver was left in the hands of the on scene Paramedics.
