Road traffic collision

Crews responded to a two vehicle RTC where both vehicles had persons inside. One female was suffering from neck and back pain following the side impact collision. One male had no injuries but was awaiting assessment by paramedics.

Crews got to work stabilising both vehicles. A decision was made to remove the roof and side of the vehicle in order to safely extricate the female casualty. Crews got to work with hydraulic rescue equipment.

The male casualty was released, and duty of care was left with the police. The female casualty was taken to hospital via ambulance.
