Road traffic collision

Fire control received a call from the Police and Ambulance stating a 2 vehicle Road Traffic Collision with a person reported trapped in one of the vehicles. 

Control mobilised 2 Fire Engines from Yeovil along with a supporting officer. 

Once on scene crews confirmed  a 2 vehicle Road Traffic Collision, with one vehicle on it's roof with a person trapped within. 

Crews immediately got to work stabilising the vehicle and set to work using hydraulic rescue equipment to extricate the person trapped. 

Crews successfully extricated one person from the vehicle using hydraulic rescue equipment, and small tools. The Casualty was handed over to the Ambulance service and duty of care for the scene was left with the Police.
