Road traffic collision

Three fire engines and a heavy rescue unit were sent to a report of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision with someone possibly trapped on the A303 near Ilminster.

On arrival crews confirmed one vehicle had left the carriageway and was on its roof with one person trapped inside. Crews used electric cutting gear and small tools to remove the casualty, who was then dealt with by paramedics on scene.
