Road traffic collision

Two fire appliances from Tiverton and Witheridge along with a rescue tender from Middlemoor were mobilised to a road traffic collision were persons were reported to be trapped.

On arrival both cars were on their sides and one casualty was trapped. Crews began by removing the windscreen and got to work using hydraulic cutting equipment, stabilisation equipment, small tools and oxygen therapy. The female casualty was released and left in the hands of paramedics.
