Road traffic collision

Fire Control mobilised crews from Buckfastleigh and Paignton along with the Heavy Rescue Vehicle from Exeter to reports of a single vehicle which had left the road on the A384. Crews found the vehicle had come to rest on a verge with one female casualty still in the vehicle. The vehicle was stabilised and hydraulic tools were used to extricate the casualty upon arrival of the Ambulance Service. Police were also in attendance. The casualty was conveyed to hospital by land ambulance. The Heavy Rescue Vehicle was not required to attend and was returned to Exeter Middlemoor Fire Station.
