Road traffic collision

Fire control took a call from Ambulance requesting our attendance to a Road Traffic Collision in the Wedmore area. 

Fire control 1 fire appliance from Cheddar and 1 fire appliance from Glastonbury. 

Crews arrived on scene and confirmed there had been a 2 vehicle RTC with 1 person trapped. Crews initially carried out first aid and stabilised the vehicle. 

Once paramedics and doctor arrived and assessed casualty, crews used hydraulic rescue tools to allow the casualty to be extricated. 

1 casualty has been conveyed to hospital by air ambulance. Crews made vehicles safe and left scene.
