Property fire

Fire appliances from Minehead and Porlock were mobilised to a report of a barn on fire near Brockwell Lane, Wootton Courtenay.  

The incident involved an open fronted barn of timber construction, used as a storage barn, approximately 10m x 3m. Fire crews extinguished the fire, which involved scrap timber, using one hosereel jet and a thermal image camera to check for hotspots.  The fire was believed to be of suspicious ignition and police were contacted by the owner.
