Property fire

Three fire appliances from Martock, Ilminster and Yeovil attended a development site off New Cross Hill. A neighbouring property called 999 after seeing a fire in one of the houses. 

On arrival, crews confirmed there were two areas of fire in two different properties. We requested the police to attend. 

One fire involved the kitchen area of a property. The second property had a fire involving the front door, ground floor and insulation. 

Crews used:

• six breathing apparatus sets
• two hose reel jets
• two covering jets
• two thermal imaging cameras
• triple extension ladder
• safety at heights equipment 
• fog spikes
• snake eye camera
• small tools.
