Property fire

Fire control received multiple calls to caravans and buildings on fire at a holiday camp in Watchet.

Fire control initially mobilised 2 fire appliances from Williton and then made the decision to mobilise a further appliance from Minehead and a supporting officer.

Once on scene crews confirmed fire was only involving 1 static caravan and the 3rd appliance from Minehead could stand down. Crews were using 1 hose reel jet and 1 thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.

Final update - crews confirmed fire was extinguished. 1 caravan was completely destroyed by fire. Crews used 2 hose reel jets, 1 thermal imaging camera and a raking fork to extinguish the fire. Crews confirmed this as deliberate ignition and requested the police to attend due to this.
