Property fire
Fire Control received multiple calls to a property on fire in the early hours of this morning. One fire engine from Green Bank and one from Plymstock were mobilised immediately.
On arrival crews requested a further fire engine immediately stating that the building was well alight. At 0454 a request for a fourth fire engine was made due to possible fire spread to a neighbouring property.
Crews believed that the fire had started within the living room of the property and had subsequently spread to the rear of the property and into the roof space.
By 0542 crews were able to bring the fire under control, using six firefighters wearing breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one main jet and a thermal imaging camera.
All persons were accounted for prior to the arrival of the fire service but crews were able to rescue two cats from the property.
The neighbouring property sustained minor fire damage from the spread.
Fire investigation has taken place and this fire has been confirmed as being accidental.
These are the final details for this incident.
