Property fire
Fire control received a call reporting a disused camper van on fire in the Glastonbury area this morning. A second call came from the Police who were on scene reporting this to be two caravans involved.
One crew from Glastonbury and one from Street fire stations were mobilised to the incident.
On arrival crews confirmed this to be one caravan and one camper van on fire with one of the vehicles being up against a property.
Crews set to work with one foam branch, one main jet, two thermal imaging cameras and small tools to extinguish the fires.
Crews also requested the attendance of our heavy rescue unit from Glastonbury, in order to use their flexi camera to assist in check the roof void of the building adjacent to one of the vehicles on fire.
Crews were able to confirm that the fire spread to some facia boards and wall plates of the building but were able to prevent any further spread.
The fires have now been fully extinguished and crews confirmed them to be of deliberate intent.
These are the final details for this incident.
