A large quantity of calls were received into Fire Control this evening at 18:26 hrs to report a vehicle fire on the A303 near to Sparkford Hill.
Fire engines from Wincanton and Castle Cary were mobilised and confirmed one vehicle was well alight.
Fire Crews used one hose reel jet and two breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire.
