Vehicle fire

Fire control received a call to a Tractor fire in a field in Westhay. Fire engines from Glastonbury and Street attended alongside a water carrier from Bridgewater. On arrival crews requested an all terrain vehicle to assist with access. 

Crews well able to confirm 1 tractor was well alight under a high voltage power line. Crews got to work with foam, a ground monitor, a hand line and a pump to extinguish the fire. 

The tractor was 80% destroyed by fire , the mower was 5 % destroyed and 5m by 5m of peat land was destroyed by fire the over head line suffered no damage.

This was an accidential ignition.
