Vehicle fire

Fire control received a couple of calls to the sound of a bang and found a vehicle on fire in Larkspur close, Taunton.

Control mobilised 1 fire appliance from Taunton.

On arrival, crews confirmed 1 vehicle well alight and crews were at work extinguishing fire using 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet.

Final update - crews confirmed the fire to be extinguished using 2 breathing apparatus, 1 hose reel jet and 1 thermal imaging camera. The vehicle was 50% damaged by fire and 100% damaged by smoke and heat. This fire was deemed as deliberate ignition and this incident was left with police who were also on scene.
