Vehicle fire
Fire Control received reports of a tractor on fire on the main A361 in the West Pennard area this morning.
One fire engine from Glastonbury, one from Street and a water carrier from Bridgwater were immediately mobilised.
On arrival crews confirmed this to be a telehandler and that the vehicle was well alight.
Crews set to work with one main jet using concentrated foam, two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus and requested attendance of police to assist with traffic management.
The fire was quickly brought under control with the vehicle sustaining 50% damage by fire.
The cause of the fire has been confirmed as accidental and our crews have now left the scene.
