Fire Control received a request from Police to assist them at a road traffic collision.
2 fire engines from Chard attended.
On arrival, firefighters confirmed this to be an incident involving a single vehicle, which was on its side with the driver still within the car.
Crews used stabilisation equipment, triple extension ladder and 1 hose reel jet to release the casualty. First aid was rendered at the scene and a member of the patients family took them to hospital to be checked over.
Duty of care of the scene was left with the Police.
