Road traffic collision

2 fire appliances from Hatherley and Holsworthy were mobilised to Shebbear following a one vehicle RTC, where the driver called to say he was unable to exit the vehicle. On arrival it was confirmed that the vehicle had actually rolled. coming to rest on all 4 wheels. Crews stabilised the vehicle and prepared for a roof removal, whilst tending to the driver and awaiting the arrival of Ambulance paramedics. Once on scene the driver, who was medically trapped, was extricated by us, using hydraulic cutting equipment, into the hands of paramedics. Crews also used 1 hose reel jet, dry powder extinguisher and small tools to make the vehicle safe before leaving the incident in the hands of Ambulance and Police.
