Fire Control mobilised 2 appliances from Glastonbury and Wells alongside with an officer to reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision with 1 person still within the vehicle.
Once in attendance, Crew confirmed that Ambulance was already in attendance. A plan had been formulated and a request was made for the Heavy Rescue Vehicle from Glastonbury which was mobilised.
A request was also made for the attendance of Police to undertake road closures.
Crew successfully aided in rescue of the occupant within the vehicle using a tirfor winch and stabilisation equipment. Casualty was left in the care of Ambulance service.
