Property fire

Crews from Yeovil and Sherborne attended a fire in a domestic property in the Crofton Park area of Yeovil. The fire was in the kitchen of a ground floor flat involving an unattended cooker. the Kitchen sustained 50% fire damage, while the rest of the apartment sustained 100% smoke damage. The fire was extinguished using four breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, and one carbon dioxide extinguisher. One occupant suffering smoke inhalation was left in the hands of Ambulance personnel. The cause of the fire was accidental.
