Property fire

Two fire engines attended a property earlier following a call reporting an oven on fire. Upon arrival crews confirmed that the fire had been contained in the oven.

During the incident crews used:

• Two breathing apparatus
• One hose reel jet
• Small tools
• Thermal image camera
• Positive pressure ventilation fan

One person suffered burns to their hands and fingers.

Crews confirmed that Gas and Electrics were isolated to the property.

Final details are that the ground floor resulted in 50% smoke and heat damage, with 75% smoke damage to the first floor. The cause is believed to be accidental.
