Property fire

Crews were sent to a chimney fire in a domestic property, and on arrival got to work with chimney gear from the hearth. Crews used a thermal imaging camera and it transpired the fire was spreading into the property. Crews requested a further two appliances.

The fire was spreading on the first floor landing area from the chimney flue. Crews got to work with 1 hose reel jet, along with the thermal imaging camera and chimney gear. Crews then requested assistance from a water bowser. Crews got using 2 breathing apparatus and small tools, exposing the structure of the property for fire spread.

Crews then got to work from the roof with a 135 ladder, safety equipment and 1 hose reel jet. Crews eventually extinguished the fire, and arranged to revisit the property for an inspection later in the evening.
