Property fire

Crews from Taunton and Wellington attended a fire in a domestic property involving the fridge within the kitchen on the ground floor. On arrival the fridge was well alight and was extinguished by crews using six breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one safety jet, and a positive pressure ventilation fan. Crews checked for hotspots throughout the rest of the property thoroughly using a thermal imaging camera, small tools, and triple extension ladder. The kitchen itself sustained 25% fire and heat damage, and 100% smoke damage. The remainder of the property sustained 20% smoke damage. The cause of the fire was accidental.
