Property fire

Two fire engines were sent to a report of a smell of burning within a domestic flat.

On arrival crews confirmed that there was a fire within the kitchen of the flat caused by unattended food. The fire was extinguished using:

• 2 Breathing apparatus
• 1 Hose reel jet
• Thermal image camera
• Smoke clearance fan

One adult was rescued from the flat by service personnel. There was fire damage to the hob area and smoke damage in the kitchen. The cause was accidental.
