Crews were called to reports of a fire now out in a commercial premise. On arrival crews confirmed the kitchen area was still well alight and requested a second appliance to assist.
Crews used the following equipment to extinguish the fire:
- Two breathing apparatus
- One hose reel jet
- One safety jet
- One thermal imaging camera
- Two positive pressure ventilation fans
The fire is now extinguished. Crews confirmed there was a fire involving a warming unit in a kitchen of a commercial building measuring 30M X 40M. The kitchen sustained 80% smoke damage and the rest of the building 30% smoke damage. The warming unit was 100% damaged by fire.
The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
