Property fire

Fire Control received a call reporting a fire in a storage barn at a farm and mobilised crews from Honiton and Colyton along with a Water Foam Carrier from Danes Castle, Exeter.

On arrival at the incident crews requested a third appliance to attend for additional personnel and this was sent from Sidmouth.

Update at 09:42 Fire in agricultural workshop measuring 20 metres x 30 metres connected to other buildings. Crews using four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and one safety jet.

Update at 10:42 Fire in agricultural workshop now surrounded. Crews using four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one safety jet and two thermal imaging cameras. Efforts being made to divert the water run off using dams.

Final update at 12:49 Fire in commercial workshop, 25% fire damage to one storey with mezzanine floor. Four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, one safety jet, one extension ladder and one thermal imaging camera used.
