Property Fire

Fire crews from Torrington, Hatherleigh and Bideford attended a property fire involving a static caravan in Beaford. Several gas cylinders were removed from near the property and cooled using a ground monitor. One cylinder was involved in the fire and a safety cordon was put in place to ensure crew safety. Firefighters wearing Breathing Apparatus used a hose reel jet, a foam jet and a Thermal Imaging Camera to extinguish the fire and check for hotspots. The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental. The caravan was completely destroyed by fire.
