Fire Control received a call to reports of smoke issuing from a building.
1 fire engine from Plympton and 1 from Greenbank were sent to the location. On arrival, crews confirmed this to be a fire involving a tumble dryer and freezer within a garage, well alight. A 3rd fire engine was requested to attend, which came from Plymstock.
Crews extinguished the fire using 2 breathing apparatus wearers, 1 high pressure hose reel, 1 main jet, 1 safety jet, 1 thermal imaging camera, triple extension ladder and a positve pressure ventilation fan was used to clear the property from smoke. the property sustained approx 20% fire damage and 80% smoke damage.
The cause was believed to be accidental.
