Property fire
A call was received in Fire Control at 15:28hrs with a report of an agricultural fire in the Dolton area.
Upon arrival of the first fire engine sent from Torrington, they confirmed that one barn was smoking with flames issuing and made up for another two fire engines for personnel and water.
Crews are currently at work, removing walls to the barn to gain better access and to stop the fire from moving forward.
Equipment currently in use: two hose reel jets, one safety jet.
Final update 21:15 hrs - All fire crews have now left the scene. This was a barn fire that also contained a caravan, the fire was extinguished using:
- 2 Breathing apparatus
- 2 Hose reel jets
- 1 Main jet
- 1 Thermal image camera
The barn was 50 per cent damaged by fire and the caravan inside was 100 per cent damaged by fire. The cause of the fire was accidental.
