Property fire
Fire Control received a call reporting a small fire in the open and mobilised one appliance from Holsworthy.
On arrival at the incident crews confirmed that an electrical box attached to the exterior of a property was well alight and requested the attendance of a further pumping appliance which was mobilised from Hartland and National Grid were contacted to assist at the incident.
The fire involved an electrical board and convertor unit which were 100% damaged by fire. A lean to building housing electrical equipment measuring approximately 2 metres x 2 metres was approximately 60% damaged by fire. Crews used one hose reel jet, three dry powder fire extinguishers, small tools, a thermal imaging camera and electrical gloves. National Grid attended and isolated the supply of electric. The cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
