Fire Control received a call reporting smoke coming from public toilets and mobilised one appliance from Brixham and one appliance from Paignton.
On arrival crews confirmed that there was smoke issuing from a toilet block and got to work with two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one safety jet and a thermal imaging camera.
The fire was confined to a single storey building measuring 5 metres x 10 metres used as a public toilet. The fire was within a cubicle and crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one thermal imaging camera and one safety jet.
The cause of the fire was believed to be deliberate and the Police were informed.
