Property fire

Fire control received multiple calls to a property fire at Monksmead Tavistock. 

2 fire engines were mobilised from Tavistock and Yelverton alongside officers 

On arrival crews confirmed the kitchen was well alight.

Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 2 hoses, 2 thermal imaging camera and a local hydrant to extinguish the fire. 

Fire crews were able to rescue 1 rat, 1 guinea pig and a dog who were left in the hands of a local vet.

The fire resulted in 50% fire damage to the kitchen and smoke damage to the rest of the house.

This is believed to have been an accidental fire.
