Property fire

Fire control received multiple calls to a vehicle fire on Mamhead hill. 

1 fire engine was mobilised from Middlemoor, control then received a further call advising that the caravan being towed by the vehicle was also alight. Fire control assigned a further fire engine from Danes castle and Teignmouth to assist. 

On arrival crews confirmed 1 car, caravan, surrounding woodland and LPG cylinders involved in fire.

Crews used 2 breathing apparatus, 2 hoses, 1 ground monitor, 1 thermal imaging camera and a local hydrant to extinguish the fire. 

The car and caravan were completely destroyed by fire with 15 meters of woodland also damaged by fire. 

This is believed to have been an accidental fire.
