Property fire
Fire crews from Glastonbury, Street, Bridgwater and Wells were mobilised to Park Terrace in Glastonbury following reports of a fire in a residential property. Upon arrival the residents had evacuated the property and fire crews got to work extinguishing the fire which was located in one of the bedrooms. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus and 1 hosereel jet to extinguish, they also used a positive pressure ventilation fan to remove smoke from the property once the fire was extinguished.
The fire was contained to a waste bin within the bedroom and the cause of fire was believed to be accidental. The waste bin was totally detstroyed by fire and there was 10 percent smoke damage to the room of origin.
Stop message for this incident came in at 06:22hrs and all crews have now returned to their stations.
