Property fire
We were called at 5.28pm to reports of a possible explosion and fire in a first floor flat on Greenbank Road in Plymouth. Four appliances were initially dispatched from Camels Head, Crownhill, and Greenbank fire stations, with that number later being increased to six with the addition of appliances from Plymstock and Plympton.
On arrival, three people were still inside the property and were rescued by firefighters. In total eight breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets and two covering jets were used to extinguish the fire. None of the occupants required any medical treatment.
A fire investigation will take place at a later date to determine the cause of the fire.
Update 14:30 - The fire investigation is now complete and the cause of the fire has been left as undetermined. All fire appliances have now left the scene.
