Two appliances from Crownhill were mobilised following a report from the owner of a property that they had evacuated their property after being alerted by their fire alarm of a dehumidifier that had caught fire within their property.
On arrival crew confirmed fire in the rear lounge of a domestic property and got work using breathing apparatus and a hose reel.
Fire crew extinguished a fire involving a dehumidifier in the downstairs lounge of a domestic property of two floors which was then removed to open air, the lounge was 100% damaged by smoke.
The fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, one safety jet, one thermal image camera and a ventilation fan the property was also monitored using a gas monitor.
