Control mobilised three fire engines following a call reporting a fire in a roof void. Upon arrival crews confirmed that the premises had been evacuated. Crews located a fire in a flat roof space above the kitchen.
Crews carried out work exposing the flat roof and extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet, a Makita saw to gain access to the roof void and a thermal image camera to check for any fire spread.
The roof suffered 50% damage as a result of the fire. The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.
