Property fire

Fire control received a call for a residential fire in Mary street Taunton.

2 fire engines from Taunton, 1 from Bridgewater and 1 from Wellington attended the incident alongside an aerial platform ladder from Taunton  . On arrival crews confirmed that there was a fire in the ground floor flat.

Crews got to work with breaking in tools to access the flat and used 4 breathing apparatus, 2 jets and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fridge fire, which was then removed from the flat to open air. The fridge sustained 20% fire damage and the flat 20% smoke damage.

This is believed to be an accidental ignition.
