Property fire

Fire Control received a call from a commercial unit in the Frobisher Way area of Taunton reporting smoke issuing from their production area. Crews from Taunton (Green Watch and On-Call) and Wellington were immediately mobilised alongside with an officer.

Shortly after booking on scene, crews liaised with the reporting person and an engineer to ascertain what was on fire. Following liaison and inspection, crews discovered that a production belt had overheated and the fire was out. A decision was made to stand down further resources due them not being needed.

Crew carried out inspections using a thermal image camera and handed the responsibility of the incident over to on-site engineers.
